I've recently installed openSUSE 11.4 and Kismet on a ThinkPad T43, with the Intel PRO/Wireless 2915ABG WiFi adapter. One thing I've noticed is that neither Kismet nor Netstumbler (Windows) work. These apps are used to scan WiFi to see whats around and provide details. In Kismet, I get an error message:
"Kismet Server Failed
Locally started Kismet server exited unexpectedly
with error 0. Something has gone wrong. Check
the Kismet server console for more information
and errors."
Netstumbler says there are no access points available.
Both apps run fine on my R31 with another Intel WiFi card (2200 IIRC).
Any ideas?
tnx jk
