TP Link Wireless N in a T43

I am running a TP Link TL-WN861N Wireless N in a T43 with the moded no whitelist bios. I installed a TP Link wireless N card and it works well, but when I come out of sleep mode the computer runs at 100% process until I disable the wireless LAN. I have tried using both windows wireless management and the TP link software. I am curious if any of you are utilizing the TP Link TL-WN861N and if there was a workaround for this problem. Thanks!

in what operating system? Do you have Power Management driver installed? Could you check power settings if there are some options for miniPCI slot / WiFi adapter.

This might not be relevant but I use these cards in 2 T23s. I had a problem that they were freezing while waking up from sleep or hibernation requiring me to force a power off.
TP-Link sent me new driver code and they have worked normally since then.

I am running windows XP. It also runns the system idle at 100% upon wake up. I realize system idle should show 99% when the computer is idle, but this is actually using processor. and system resource at 100% the laptop also gets hot while this happens. I have the latest driver from TP link but that does not mean they have not created something different.

I am wanted to upgrade my T42 to 802.11n as well and also have the white list bios.

OK - I went ahead and bought one of these and it works GREAT as a wireless n adapter.

But I have the lock up on wake up issue. I have pinged the mfg for help.
Anyone have any thoughts?

UPDATE:
OK TP-Link sent me a new driver to try.
It did not work installed on top of their utility, but...

Uninstalling the utility and driver and then installing JUST the driver worked.
This uses winXP to manage the connection.

This card, TP Link TL-WN861N, is a great option to the old stock cards.

NOTE - do not expect the IBM wireless manager to recognize your card, it WONT. What this mean is you cannot turn the card off with Fn-F5 and the wireless indicator LED does not work.

UPDATE: I just installed Win7 - Sweet. Drivers for the card loaded with the W7 install and after installing the hot keys from Lenovo I cna now use Fn-F5 to turn my wifi on and off. LED still doesn't work.

With the TL-WN861N in a ThinkPad T43, Fn+F5 controls the WiFi just fine, and the LED also works just fine. You have to ground pin 13 on the MiniPCI slot.

The LED also works a little funny (it's reversed under Linux, and blinks constantly under Windows).

What Windows OS are you running XP or Win7?
If I get time today I will try the jumper trick and report back with my results.
Like I said for me in W7 Fn+F5 works to toggle the WiFi on and off. After installing the Think Pad app of course.
