miniPCI Atheros - inverted LED signal?

#1 Post by lukee » Fri Jul 15, 2011 3:48 am

Hello, some time ago I pulled Intel 2915ABG WiFi card out of my T43p and inserted an Atheros chipset based (ThinkPad Wireless Adapter II) card into it. And I just noticed, that WiFi LED under LCD lights permanently when the adapter is on and turns off shortly when some data transfer takes a place. If I remember correctly when the Intel card was installed, the LED was turned off and blinked on only when some data transfer took a place. In brief - I think the Atheros card has inverted signal logic for LED than Intel card. Am I right?

Hi lukee,
I do not have a T43 but I have its close cousin, the R52, with Intel 2915 wireless. My wireless LED is lit continuously when the laptop is on and blinks during data transfer. I would assume the T43 is the same but someone else can confirm that.
