Which X200T to buy + quality vs my T60

Hi,
Thinking to buy X200 tablet as a small student laptop.
Wanted to know which model to choose ?
My primary demand is quality & reliability + lasting time.
Now I have T60 for over 3 years that still like a new although I use very heavily.
Really love the build quality of thinkpads and have older models too so wanted to be sure that the X200T will be in the same quality.
So, Which one to go for ? or maybe go for X61T instead ? Does the multi-touch really make a big difference comparing to the regular one with the pen ? I will use it for internet, office and movies but some time will work with it on the road.
Is it possible to buy a good one under 700-800$ ?
