I'm running TPfanControl on my x61 and it works fine.
The only improvement I'd make is so the fan levels had larger intervals in RPM.
At the moment, going from 0-1 in TPFC is a world of difference. 2-3 is negligible, 4-5 the same etc.
It'd all be much better if fan level 1 was 100 RPM or 50 maybe, not 3000!
I assume the RPM levels are set by BIOS? and are non user configurable?
