T 40 BIOS Problem

Hello all! I need some advice desperatley ! A family member attempted to "update the bios" and the machine crashed during procedure and now he says it will not boot. he is sending me the lappy to try to fix it.IS there any way to do so?
I am thinking of downloading the bios to a floppy and booting with it. Would this work? Or is there anyother way? PM replies welcome!! Thank you!!

If the machine crashed or lost power during a BIOS update the only fix is to replace the systembaord or use the BIOS recovery service listed in the forum header.
