Enabling wi-fi on T42?

#1 Post by c_frank » Mon Jul 25, 2011 3:01 pm

I just bought a couple of T42's and after getting them up and running I found out that the internal wi-fi card had been disabled in the bios, Also that the bios was locked. Is there anyway to re enable the wireless card other than getting into the bios or should I unlock the bios and then re-enable wifi?

Thanks

You need to unlock the BIOS before you can activate the wifi function.
PM me if you need assistance.
Alternatively, get a PCMCIA wifi card.

I thought about getting an external wireless adapter but would really to get the internal adapter re-enabled. So I will be sending you a pm shortly as I have no idea on how to unlock the bios on an IBM. I have done this with other makes of computers but I know off hand that the IBM's are a lot more difficult.
