What kind of suggestion are you referring to?

You have configured a nice well balanced system... free memory upgrade is definitely a plus since 512MB is pretty much required to run the system smoothly. If the free upgrade is to a 1 DIMM 512MB that is a very good thing. If they just added 256 MB (which I doubt they would have) then not as good since you don't have a free DIMM slot for future upgrade.

Where are you getting this system from?

If you can get the free 512MB upgrade with the 2373M3U, I would do that.
The M3U is the same as the K5U, except it has the faster 60GB 7200rpm HD and faster process 1.8GHz vs 1.7GHz for only $40 more (list).

This computer will more than adequate for your personal needs such as e-mai, web surfing, etc. Actually 90% of the time you will not be using full performance of the computer.

However, If you do a lot of photoshop, video editing and such it will serve you nicely. Of course a 7k60 HD will improve those task performances noticeably.

Like mysbca said I think m3U would be a better deal since you get HD and processor upgrade for $40 (a 7k60 HD is about $180). YOu can just add a 512 MB stick yourself for under $100, even tough I am sure a 512 MB will suit your needs perfectly, so an upgrade to 1GB may not be necessary

M3U has an intel wifi whereas the M1U has an IBM (Atheros) wifi card..

of the two, my choice would be the M1U or N1U..
depending on which display size i wanted..
