Optical drive mode configuration

I was setting up my A31p and I had come across an option to select thr DVD / CDRW drive performance. I set it to silent mode. It now runs too slow and I can't figure out where that option is.

Does anyone remember where I can change that setting? Is this under windoews or do I have to update the firmware?

Control Panel > Power Options > Advanced Settings

*Power Options may be under Performance and Maintenance depending on what view you have configured for Control Panel.
