internet explorer and visual studio causing problem?

#1 Post by jealouse » Tue Jun 15, 2004 12:09 am

hello

i have x24 with w2k installed. all the lastest update(service pack 4, etc) also installed.

I installed visual studio 6.0 few days ago cuz i began taking C++ programming course.

now, when i'm surfing on the internet and when the webpage i'm viewing contains script error, small window pops up, asking me if i want to debug the error. OF COURSE I DO NOT! even if i choose NO, sometimes it keeps asking so the only way to get rid of it is to close the window entirely.

when i accidently click YES, debugger from visual studio launches automatically.

prior to installing visual studio 6.0, when the webpage i was viewing contains error, i just got a small message saying it's got some error on the corner of the screem...it wasn't not annoying at all!

i guess it happened because internet explorer and vidual studio got connected together somehow. now the question is this; is there a way to prevent those pop-ups from vidual studio when i'm surfing on the internet?

thanx for your comments in advance!

Internet Options>Advanced>Check "Disable script debbuging" and uncheck "Display a notification about every script error">Apply>OK.
