Update attempting to re-download "R&R Cumulative WER -WinXp"

I recently purchased a reburb T-400 from Lenovo and all has been well except for the fact that every time I run Lenovo Update the Lenovo Update it continually tries to download and install "Rescue and Recovery Cumulative WER fix package for Windows Xp". I think I let it do it twice and have rebooted and the update is listed in the Update History section.

This computer apparently originally had Vista as the operating system but it came refurbed with Xp. Not sure if that is meaningful in this discussion.

Any ideas as to how to make Update happy other than checking the defer installation box?

A few times System Update has not gotten an update correctly installed for me either. Have you tried downloading the update by itself and running the update manually?

Great, glad it worked.

I've had to do that twice for UltraNav updates to my T410 that System Update messed up.

System Update is great, but not perfect.
