T400 and mSATA SSD

#1 Post by bblumberg » Mon Aug 15, 2011 4:54 pm

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know whether the T400 can utilize an mSATA SSD in the mini-PCI-E slot? I have one slot open since this system does not have a WWAN card in it and would like to add an mSATA SSD to allow fast boot and loading of software. I have scoured the net and this board without success so far.

thanks,

Bruce

Sorry to say that the T400 cannot use a mSATA SSD.

The latest generatation of ThinkPads are the only ThinkPads that can use a mSATA SSD.

What about mini PCIe SSDs? Will it work or this the same interface?
