I have a legit question about doing laundry!

#1 Post by Turbo Audi » Thu Aug 18, 2011 9:06 am

Ok so, almost everyday I wear tank tops, otherwise known as "wife beaters." Problem is, they always shrink in the laundry. They are made quite long (Fruit of the Loom XL), but they are quite fitted. What am I doing wrong!? They are 100% cotton. I put them in a cold washer, and dry them in the dryer on 'easy care', which actually gets quite hot. Should I hang dry them from now on? Are they getting shrunk in the washer or dryer?

The dryer. Use a much cooler temperature or better yet hang dry them.

How about buying the next size up, then letting them shrink, which hopefully would be the right size.

The missus says you should stop using the dryer. 8)

All of the above responses have it wrong. Lose some weight, still buy the XL size and keep doing the laundry like you're doing it now :) :jhem:

Sorry, but ICNR

Thanks everyone! I am pretty trim, and in good shape. I can't get XXL because they are just too big, even when they shrink. I'll just hang them up instead.
