Reball Confirmation

My T42 now appears to only give me my boot splash screen 1 out of every 10 cold power on's and even then only freezes at the Windows XP boot screen, can't even boot up off PC Doctor Diagnostic CD.

Would my peers here suggest that this is the nefarious reball issue?

If you push on the area of the keyboard bezel between the space bar and touchpad when powering up and the system successfully boots, then yes, you are experiencing the GPU problem. Sometimes that works. If not, then remove the keyboard and press directly on the GPU (or heatsink).
