Battery MaxiMiser on a T23

#1 Post by gdut0n » Sun Apr 03, 2005 7:49 pm

I am trying to Recondition my battery, and I've done some extensive searching on these forums.

First of all, I don't see a "Recondition" button in the MaxiMiser. Is this because the T23 is not supported to use that option?

Also, is it still a highly debated topic about how to recondition a battery, or was a verdict sort of reached?

Model number: 2647-6KU

Thanks.

I love it.

Our resident battery expert, z.entropic, tells us that deep discharges are not as bad as some think, but should NOT be done too often. Since the only purpose for a deep discharge is to calibrate the accuracy of the battery condition reporting electronics, I would only advise doing them when you feel your time remaining indicators are way off and it is bothering you, Certainly no more than once every few months.

Ok, so what about reconditioning the battery? I'm pretty sure my battery is bad for the most part because it's a few years old. But just for the fun of it, I thought I'd try reconditioning and I don't see the button in the Battery MaxiMiser.
