I am looking at a T42 with a cracked screen to replace my T23 that no longer boots. I know you could get an XGA screen for the T42. Is the XGA screen from the T23 compatible with that from the T42? Can I put an XGA screen into a T42 that did not originally come with an XGA screen?
Thanks.
T42 screen compatibility.
Re: T42 screen compatibility.
T23 LCD is not compatible with the T4x series. Different connectors.
Yes, you could put an XGA screen in a T42 that originally had a diff resolution, as long as you use the XGA cable. An XGA screen with an SXGA+ cable, for example, won't work right.

Collection = T500 - R400 - X300 - X200 - T61 (14" WXGA+) - T61 (14.1" SXGA+) - T60 (15" SXGA+) - X40 - T43p - T43 - T42p - A30P - 600E
