Thinkpad Edge slow performance while charging

#1 Post by emilut69 » Tue Aug 23, 2011 6:33 pm

Hey,
I have an Thinkpad Edge 15'' laptop. Since i got it i have this problem. While i watch a movie or i play some game, after about ~ 10 or 15 min after i plug in the power cable everything starts to get slower (the image is stuttering, mouse i flicking ) up to the point where the image freeze up, the mouse is not moving anymore can't go from one tab to another. All those get back to normal if i unplug the A/C. If i plug it back again, after 10 or 15 min it starts again to play with my nerves.........unplug, immediately plug back in and is fine for another 15 min.

I have to mention that this is not happening while the battery is full or while the laptop is on A/C power and the battery is out. Is not a Flash problem, is not an OS problem, since i have on the machine both Ubuntu 10.10 and Win 7 (had also Win XP)

Any ideas anyone?
Thank you in advance

If you check your processor usage I'll bet it's at 100% when it's charging.
I'll also bet that you're using a 65 watt adapter.
I'll also bet that it'll work okay with a 90 watt adapter.
