E.g. Thinkpad T500, CTO model, Windows 7 Ultimate (64-bit, right?)
I am asking for someone else so I can 'check/look'.... but, I know when you go to the Lenovo site, there is this selection process and eventually, a 'matrix' in which there's drop down menus.
But, wifi constantly shows '5350' and I think there's a 5300 card in the laptop.
Is there only that one method of finding the drivers and could someone explain that wifi situation? Is it just that the 5300 card uses that driver (5350)?
Is that the standard way of installing drivers? You guess at what's needed (there's no distinction for Windows 7 64 bit and Windows Ultimate in the drivers section but there is when choosing your OS in the Lenovo OS selection process?!?)?
Also, does anyone have experience with that utility that needs Internet Explorer? The one that scans and updates the drivers?
I was told that it didn't work.
Best regards and appreciation for any advice and comments!
Note: I can only pass on info as I can't try it but I am sure any insight will help!
