This is the support Document. Which software/tool mentioned here (below.. marked in color) is gonna be available/ applicable on Windows 7 64-bit or 32-bit on my T61/ X61T ?
Verify that the internal TrackPoint or UltraNav is set to Automatic or AutoDisable.
Note: This setting will automatically disable the TrackPoint and UltraNav if an external PS/2 interface mouse is attached before startup.
To verify the setting in the BIOS for ThinkPad A, G, R, T, and X series systems

Turn on the computer.
Look for the message in the lower left area of the screen. If it says: "Press F1 for BIOS Setup Utility", press the F1 key. If it says: "To interrupt normal startup, press the blue Access IBM button", press the blue Access IBM button.
Double-click Start setup utility if available.
For some systems, you may need to click Continue at the Rescue and Recovery Predesktop area screen, and click Access BIOS and Yes.
The BIOS Setup Utility menu will be displayed. If a password prompt appears, type the correct password.
Select Config and then click Keyboard/Mouse. The setting for the TrackPoint and UltraNav touch pad should be Automatic or AutoDisable.

To verify the setting in the ThinkPad Configuration utility:

Click Start, select Programs, and look for ThinkPad, Access IBM or ThinkVantage.
If ThinkPad is in the list, select ThinkPad, select ThinkPad utilities, and then click ThinkPad Configuration.
If Access IBM is in the list, select Access IBM and then click ThinkPad Configuration.
If ThinkVantage is in the list, select ThinkVantage and then click ThinkPad Configuration.
Click the TrackPoint icon

or UltraNav icon.

Select Automatic or AutoDisable.
Verify that the UltraNav and TrackPoint are set appropriately (Enabled or Disabled), by clicking Mouse properties and then the UltraNav or TrackPoint tab.

Verify the latest driver from the manufacturer is installed for the respective mouse.
