OK to delete files downloaded by systemupdate?

#1 Post by WilsonF » Wed Sep 07, 2011 4:20 pm

System Update has downloaded over 1.5GB of files to C:\Program Files (x86)\Lenovo\System Update\session since I got my X220 in June.

Will I cause problems if I move these to somewhere other than my system drive (an SSD)?

You may delete everything in the session subfolder except 4 items:
subfolders system and temp, and files QuestResponse.xml and updates.ser.

[Note: No need whatsoever to move/save, since everything deleted from the session subfolder will be recreated next time one runs System Update.]
