What is that rectangle on the top of the lid?

There's a little rectangular rubber sticker or something on the top of the lid (if looking at the lid closed). It's in the upper left corner. I think there's a couple of screws under it?

I believe the Bluetooth module goes behind that area. It's probably plastic for better reception.

Oh that is the bluetooth but that's not the one I meant. I meant the rectangle to the left of the AC/battery/sleep indicators

Have you looked at the hardware maintenance manual? Look at page 196 for the diagramof the lid, and page 215 for the FRU numbers, where it shows it to be the Bluetooth Daughter Card in the location you are describing.
