Various problems with Thinkpad Edge 13

Hi guys,

I'd be very grateful if you could help with the following Thinkpad Edge 13 issues:

1. Heating. The fan is blowing hot air from the vent on the left. The bottom left of the keyboard also gets very, very hot. How can I cool it down?

2. WiFi. The WiFi adapter turns off after the laptop goes to sleep. I think have to run the troubleshoot to restore it again. Very annoying problem - any ideas on a fix?

3. Freezing. This might be related to the heat problem, but since I installed a new hdd, the laptop freezes for about 30 seconds before coming back to life again. It seems especially the case when watching video.

4. Video. When watching video on VLC, if I jog the laptop only slightly, the video freezes or stutters. I have to keep the laptop perfectly still to avoid this. Is that normal?
