Using a T41 14" LCD in a T42?

I've inherited a T42 with a bad LCD. I've tried a quick fix by replacing the inverter and that didn't help as the screen is still dim, which leads me to believe that the LCD needs to be replaced. There is a local seller with a 14" T41 screen. Will this fit in my T42? I've checked the LCD for the T42 and these are the following part numbers:

That's an XGA panel, so as long as the T41 panel is also XGA you are good to go. If you start swapping different resolution panels in that series you need to worry about inverter and LCD signal cable part numbers because they are different as you go up in resolution. With that said if you swap the entire LCD assembly you also negate the different part number problem because the correct parts are all contained within the LCD assembly. If you just swap the panels, then you need to worry about it.

Furthermore, you can go up and down in the T4x, R5x, T6x or R6x series for the same size/resolution panel. All will work from T40 to T61, again, assuming same size, same resolution panel. Good luck with the swap.
