W520 FHD Auto Dimming on Dark Backgrounds while on Battery

Hello,

I've noticed that when I am looking at a website with a black background the monitor will dim. This only happens on battery power.

This is extremely annoying when I switch to another screen with a white background, and the monitor takes ~5 seconds to adjust brightness!

How can I fix this?


Current configuration:
W520 w/ FHD screen
OS: Windows 7 64bit Pro
NVIDIA Quadro 1000M
