I have an IBM T30 2366 model 8AU
I got the factory restore cd a few years ago when I got the computer.
The hard drive had to be replaced and now trying to re-install the product recovery data.
There are 3 disks, and EVERY time I get to disk 3 of 3- it says, insert disk 3, I do and then nothing. I'm stuck at this point now. What do I need to do? create a partition? if so, how do I get to this point if I can't run a command prompt?
I can install XP- but I want the original ThinkVantage installation -like when it was new. I don't understand what is happening and about to pull my hair out. It worked to retore the OLD hard drive in years past.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Kris
IBM Product Recovery Program version 5.7
Re: IBM Product Recovery Program version 5.7
Might be a damaged disk. But, if you can recover Windows, you'll be just fine without the supplemental stuff , because everything else can be downloaded from the Lenovo support web-site. You are going to need newer versions of a lot of those tools anyway, because the ones on the disk won't work any longer.

I downloaded home-use version of Everest instead.
----
InterVideo WinDVD v3.2 DXVA
----
I downloaded home-use version of VideoLAN VLC
----
Adobe Acrobat Reader ver 5.0
----
I downloaded recent versions of Acrobat Reader, Flash, and Shockwave
----
IBM RecordIt Now!
----
I purchased Roxio CD/DVD burner software. Much easier to use. Some folks prefer Nero.
----
Battery MaxiMiser
the little lime green icon with 98% in black letters on system tray
----
Probably the only IBM supplied utility that I use.
Since you have a fresh Windows XP install, go ahead an apply SP2 and SP3 updates. (I am guessing that SP3 requires at least SP1.) Also, I use Home-Use versions of Avast! and Zone Alarm.
