Video Editing

#1 Post by digital-answer » Sat Sep 17, 2011 4:43 am

I have just bought a Lenovo IBM Thinkpad X201 12.1" 8GB RAM 320GB i5 2.53ghz and wonder if it would be suitable for video editing and DVD production? If so what edit software would you suggest. Any help/advice much appreciated.

Well, for video editing I would go with something that comes with dedicated graphics like W series with 2GB video Ram or T series with 1GB Nvidia. Otherwise if you are planning to do nothing more than Windows Movie Maker does (animation/rendering-wise) X201 should still be fine. Also I would assume screen size to be a concern with video editing, but it is up to you.
