i have seen that film a few years ago..
it reminded me of the parrots of ft. lauderdale, who, at a certain time of the year, roost in massive crowds, in the trees (not sure what kind of trees but they bore little berries) along the city docks at las olas blvd. and the ICW there to eat of those berries which have been fermenting in the heat of the summer..
the birds, all small green parrots wind up quite frisky, noisy and totally drunk out of their little minds, to the point of falling out of the trees, rolling around and just having a really great time..
well, it HAS been at least 22 years since i was there at party time but the years have not dimmed the memories of those little green rascals..
i am guessing that the next few months produced many nests and eggs..

She was not what you would call refined,
She was not what you would call unrefined,
She was the type of person who kept a parrot.
