X41T with Windows 8 Developer's Preview
Rossmosis thread about running Win8 Dev.Preview in a T60 inspired me to install it in my own T60 and in my X41T. So far this system is running quite smoothly, I'm still fighting with the video driver installation, but so far it's working nice.

Nice! I bet an X41T utilizes the metro interface a lot better, I've always wanted one of those!

The stylus was working out of the box, I haven't tried the "fancy" Start Screen yet and the Metro interface yet.

If you ever get around to playing with the metro interface let me know how you like it! A Tablet Thinkpad has been on my wishlist for a long time, I just don't have the funds right now and no one wants to trade me for a T60.

Re: X41T with Windows 8 Developer's Preview
here's a quick pic (at night) on an X61 tablet: http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y259/m ... 110161.jpg
the stylus was also working out of the box for this as expected, and transitions are alright but it does seem a bit choppy. it also "recommended" 1024x768 for my resolution, making everything blurry, and the resolution will only go up to 1280x1024.
i think with touch input it'd be a lot better. it feels like a bad version of windows 7 though, honestly. if you get your video driver to install, be sure to post! i'm working on it now for mine.
edit: windows 7 64-bit drivers from lenovo worked. resolution is fixed and the transitions are very smooth now.

Re: X41T with Windows 8 Developer's Preview
If it was already tricky to install the video drivers in Win7, it's even trickier in Win8 Dev.Prev, I haven't succeed so far so everything is working kind of slow and choppy
I'll keep trying though. It was no problem at all to get the T60 drivers working so I assume an X6 tablet will be no problem at all!

Re: X41T with Windows 8 Developer's Preview
I had it running on my T43. It lasted about 4 hours before I reloaded my main OS. Which normally is 7. However I figured since I was already doing bad things to myself and torturing myself, why not keep the trend? To that end I installed my retail copy of Vista Ultimate. After all the OS updates and whatnot, it actually runs pretty nicely.

Re: X41T with Windows 8 Developer's Preview
Short status report. Due to lack of patience I gave up trying to install video drivers for the X41T for Win8, so I got fed up and re-installed Linux Mint!
End of this short story...
(Now, if I had an X6xT I would try it again
