Upgrading bios without a floppy tray

#1 Post by jayeola » Tue Apr 05, 2005 5:07 pm

Simple s that really. Got a T20 with no floppy tray. Can't boot from a USB key 'cos I've tried with [censored] Small Linux. How can I make a bootable cd for me to upgrade the BIOS and not overwriting the MBR and stuff?

Thanks B. The thought did occour to me as soon as I posted. We have those USB cf floppy trays for about 20-quid. I think that it's gonna be the simplest solution.

Oh yeah - more questions. I've been googling and it seems that the TP20 can't boot from USB devices like keys. Had a look at the BIOS settings and the only "removable media" supported are floppies which I don't have (yet). Looks llike I'm going to a computer fair on Sat....
