Ctrl key popped off - how do I put it back on?

The Ctrl key popped off of my X220 keyboard and I can't seem to figure out how to get it back on. Can anyone help?

You should be able to just push it straight down onto the keyboard and have it snap into the plastic bits. Check to make sure that nothing is broken with the mechanism on the keyboard or the points where it locks into the bottom of the key. They're pretty fragile, so be careful.

AFAIK, the procedure in the following post is still current:

Thanks for the help. Unfortunately, it seems that the top of the key must be broken because it will not go back into place following those instructions. I called Lenovo support and they're sending me a replacement keyboard - which is fine by me.
