T61 - possible to upgrade XGA to WXGA+?

Is it possible to remove the entire XGA display and pop on a WXGA+ display?

Only if both are the same size, i.e. both 15.4" widescreen or both 14.1" widescreen.

Thanks for the reply! The XGA is 14.1 but obviously not widescreen. The WXGA+ is 14.1. Does the widescreen only apply to the resolution, not physical size of the screen?

In Standard 4:3 there is only XGA, SXGA+ and UXGA.
Widescreen is not compatible with Standard 4:3.
WXGA, WXGA+ and WUXGA are widescreen formats (notice the first letters W?).

You should be able to remove the XGA display and pop in an SXGA+ display. Even better than WXGA+.
