WTB: thinkad for ~$50-60
WTB: thinkad for ~$50-60
Hi all,
I'm looking for a cheapie thinkpad, no more than $65 shipped to Canada with a hard drive and preferably with some windows os. It will be used to only do some basic tasks. I figured if I had to go cheap for an old used laptop, thinkpads are the way to go. Does not have to have a fully charged battery or possibly no battery, depending on the specs. Also don't need wifi capabilities, if that helps cheapen things.

It's not clear what the final use will be for this machine, however, if you can swing it, I recommend considering an R60. They are often available in the condition you seek for $100 or less. There are two Buy It Now models on eBay right now for $75 (free shipping in the U.S., you'll have to work out shipping to Canada).
$75 eBay example (w/T2500 CPU & 14" SXGA+ LCD, but missing AC adapter & HD) --> http://www.ebay.com/itm/160658401808
R60's are fairly modern and very reliable machines.

Re: WTB: thinkad for ~$50-60
pianowizard - thanks for bringing those to my attention. I usually don't look at ads older than a month or two so I guess I missed those.
This will be used for running a software on windows that will control a robotic arm to move in a sequential order...that's it really. I'm not sure if its uses will be expanded, but for that I Think R60 might be too much. Thanks for the suggestion though.
