X220 Battery sits loose
In my newly received X220 the battery sits loose even with latch "1" locked. The 6cell battery is moveable by about 2-3mm just above latch "2". Operated on battery power, when I drag the laptop slightly towards me, this is enough to disconnect power.
Anyone else experienced this? How did Lenovo react?

Re: X220 Battery sits loose
Yes mine also 'wiggles' about the same. The slice battery underneath seems less secure (securing points) are close to the middle and the outside can flex a bit.
Owning a tablet version I use the extended battery to hold onto in portrait mode and I would like to think that this will not damage the laptop.

I don't mind it wiggles. I do mind the wiggling switches the power off.tomartom wrote:Yes mine also 'wiggles' about the same. The slice battery underneath seems less secure (securing points) are close to the middle and the outside can flex a bit..
Re: X220 Battery sits loose
it shouldn't be that loose.
like bill suggested, call lenovo. there's no reason you should have this issue. i've had three personal X220 systems and a handful of batteries, none of which were ever loose enough to disconnect power when properly installed.
