T60 smart card CSS

Hi! First post here ...
Well I've got a Lenovo/IBM Thinkpad T60 with Windows 7 Professional 32-bit and I've just set up the Client Security Solution software. Well it's kind of a business class app but I think it's very cool and useful also for everyday use.

Than I started looking into Smart Cards! What do I need to enable te capability to enroll with smartcard?

All ISO 7816 cards will be fine or do I need something special? Do I need only a reader or a reader/writer? Do some pcmcia card reader not work with Win7 or CSS?
