ibm thinkpad R50 e rapid restore ?

i am trying to restore my ibm thinkpad R50e to its original factory settings . it ran for about 10 minutes then restarted and now it asks me to insert product recovery disc1 into drive d. is the product recovery disc the one that i was instructed to copy and burn on the first day i purchased the laptop ???
