X61t latch and multitouch question

#1 Post by rossmosis » Thu Oct 13, 2011 7:47 pm

I just got my X61t in the mail today and it is absolutely beautiful, such a great machine. Anyway, I'm not sure if I'm using the latch right--am I supposed to be pushing the latch down myself when I close the lid to put into tablet mode? I'm assuming that's what you do but I don't want to break it.

Also, mine has the multitouch but I can't seem to get it to work properly when I use my finger. It works fine at the very top of the screen, but when I try to touch anywhere else it thinks my finger is at the top of my screen, is there a driver for it I could use? The stylus works fine.

Thanks! I will be posting pictures in the Pictures sub-forum soon!

Yes, you're supposed to push down the latch yourself.

No idea about the multi-touch part cause mine is not, but IIRC there's a driver for it from Lenovo.

Cheers.

Thanks! I couldn't find another way to do it, but I didn't want to break it if that wasn't the right way as it seems like it could break fairly easily. I installed some more drivers and it works better, it's still pretty bad though.
