r61 hinge

I bought a used R61 and although the hinge works at all angles and will keep the screen in place, there is about 3/4" play that I can wiggle back and forth.

1. Is there an easy fix to this?
2. I have a bunch of old T31 + T23 parts laying around - are the parts interchangeable?

1. No, just get a set of replacement hinges, which requires disassembly of LCD-lid and removal of keybaord and KB bezel. Cheap enough on eBay. Make sure to get the right size parts.
2. Totally different parts, not compatible at all.
