X60T works with/without stylus?
X60T works with/without stylus?
Hi,
I was told this by someone the other day but I have no idea if it's true or not:
"All finger touch tablets were made with XGA resolution only. Some SXGA+ models do exist but are pen touch only."
A couple things I need to clarify here:
1) Did the 'finger-touch' only tablets not include a pen/stylus?
2) If it's 'pen-touch' only, then it means that it's definetely SXGA+?
Reason I ask is that I'm in the middle of trying to source a spare screen, specifically after the SXGA+ model. However, all signs point to the fact that it's a XGA screen but the seller says that they seemed to remember that they needed to use a stylus with it, that it didn't work without the pen. The screen is also seperate from the machine so it's not a particularly easy job to find out what type the screen actually is. Anyone with any ideas would be gratefully received!
Thanks

Re: X60T works with/without stylus?
The answer to both of your questions is no. The hand-touch model also supports stylus input, and there are stylus-only models for both XGA and SXGA screens.
Cheers.
Cheers.

Re: X60T works with/without stylus?
Sorry, I'm not familiar with distinguishing between stylus-only and MV/MT screens myself. Someone else may give you more insights...
support.lenovo.com says it's got a "12.1in 1024x768 LCD" screen and no multitocuh driver is listed for it, so it seems.
If you've got Windows installed, I suppose there will be something listed in the Device Manager with regard to the MT subsystem (ref: http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloa ... D=DS001408).
Cheers.

Enter your type and S/N on this page to get the ex-factory parts list, then compare the LCD P/N or FRU with the LCD info in the HMM:
