Hello one & all: I formated and loaded my T60P with Windows 7 and then went out and got the various drivers from Lenovo. I'm having one issue which I can't seem to resolve. I've noticed even though I have the desktop set to 1024 x 768 like on my T60, the icons are somewhat too large. I tried to go i...

T60P & ATI Catalyst Control Center

Hi everyone: Would anyone know where I can download the proper drivers as well as the ATI Catalyst control Center software for my T60P. I've tried several sites, but the Catalyst control center won't load once installed. I do have it installed on my T60 and it runs perfectly. Kindest Regards, Steve

Hi everyone and thank you all for the info. Ok, here's the deal.... Lenovo did relace the mainboard and after loading another HD with a XP restore, the T60P ran for about two hours at which time the replacement board took a Cr^P. With that being said, I just got another box from Lenovo and the unit ...

Re: Thinkpad T60 Screen Goes DARK after 10 seconds of running

Before Lenovo replaced my LCD, I didn't realize just how dark and lousy it was looking, even before it died. Now it looks so bright and clear. I feel as if I have a new T60. Basically, it is new, everything has been replaced in the last few months aside from the main board. Way to go Lenovo :-)

USB Hard Drive not showing up

Good evening:

For some odd reason my USB hard drive is not showing up when I plug in. I'm using Windows 7 in my ThinkPad. I tried it with my home PC which is running XP and it shows up.

Also, I was able to use the USB HD in my ThinkPad a couple of weeks ago, so this is a new issue.

Any ideas

Re: T60 Hinge play

The hinges are nice and tight, ie: the screws are very secure. The play has to do with what I believe is some type of compression fitting in the center of each hinge, thus the lid has a bit of a wobble in it. My unit is three years old and it only used in my home, however, from opening and closing t...

Thanks to all to responded:

The problem was something that I caused and forgot about. I did in fact make a reg change to remove the shortcut check-marks from the desktop shotcuts.
Anyhow, I went in and made the needed adjustment and problem is solved.

Re: Fingerprint reader overheating on R61

Just for the heck of it, check the hard drive. I know on the T60 the HD is located directly under the FP reader. This may be the cause of the heat...... At the very least, have a look into this. On the other hand, if the heat is actually coming from the FP reader, you may want to remove the palm res...
