Welcome to the forum!

In order to run an SXGA+ panel on a T43, you'd have to swap the board for an ATi-based one.

No clue on that beep code, but the story does sound like a board problem.

What happens if you power the system with no RAM installed ? Does it beep 1-3-3-1 ?

Thought I'd ask. There are purists that want all authentic parts.
I wouldn't be concerned about that issue on a T23.

T23 has barely any $$$ value, so I guess it won't.

Well, these are the specs from the machine that "donated" that motherboard...the shell obviously came from another one, given the 2647 code on it
PIII-M 1.13GHz (512KB), 256MB RAM, 30.0GB HDD, 14.1 XGA(1024x768) TFT LCD, 8X-3.3X DVD-ROM, Modem(MPCI), Ethernet(CDC), TV out, Li-Ion battery, Win2000

Thank you. I am glad I asked before buying! There is somebody up the road selling these Panasonic screens but I have a further question. The short answer is "yes it will be faster". The rest depends on what you actually use the system for.

Board is cooked for sure. I had a T60p that did that (ended up frankenpadding it). Best I can understand, over time the BGA degrades, and it loses contact. I think the issue was likely accelerated by the subpar cooling of the T60. Actually, when one starts seeing question marks and other letters/sy...
