WTB/LF: X200s/X201s with 1440x900 LCD

The title pretty much says it all but just a couple of additional thoughts... 1) The system should be in good working order, cosmetics are less important. 2) The screen should be free of any major flaws 3) No HDD/SSD or AC adapter required, but I won't say "no" to a system including these either. Re: Best aftermarket battery for T61p 15.4"

There are no OEM batteries available that have been made in the last 5 years. True. However, there are still NOS batteries out there, and Panasonics have been known to last easily for a decade, staying in "green" even after 7-800 cycles. You won't get that with an aftermarket battery, period. So I'...

I have T43p too, but the GPU idles at like 90C so that probably should never be powered on again until I fix whatever is causing it to run so hot. Re-paste and undervolt the CPU, undervolt the GPU if needed. That should take care of the excessive heat. Having said that, a T43p is not a viable daily...

Re: ThinkPad T23 Arrival

Wasn't there a CDC card with an ethernet controller? The T23 should have a CDC slot to utilize that ethernet daughter card, which could free up the MiniPCI slot for machines that came with the MiniPCI combo card. I stand corrected. The previous T2x models did not have the CDC, at least my work-issu...

ThinkPad T23 has a miniPCI slot that is only used for a modem.
On most models it's a combo card, modem and wired LAN. So I would vote against removing it, unless one never uses LAN.

Apply Middleton's BIOS and up the CPU to T9300, and it'll go up even more.
And that CPU runs cooler than your T7500.
+ 1.

Not to mention that such an upgrade would give you an excuse - not that you should need one - to re-paste the system.

The most important question, IMO: Titanium lid, or the standard black one ?

If it's a Ti lid AND in great shape, $100. I almost couldn't give away an absolutely pristine Z61m with a Ti lid about a year and half ago.

Good luck.

You'll need to apply the "no-1802" hack first in order to remove the whitelisting from BIOS but the card that you're looking at should work after that, as long as it's in the proper mini PCI format.. I've been using TP Link 861N cards which utilize the same chipset for a decade or so now in A3x and ...
