When the system crashes do you get a BSOD or does the screen simple go black/shut off, then the computer restarts?

I had a similar issue putting Win 7 Pro x64 on my T410s. (It came with x86.) I had to manually install the ethernet, which I downloaded direct from Lenovo, then run System Update 4 several times. The NVIDIA graphics, I noticed, had to be installed by itself to not crash.

The difference between the T400s and the T410s is remarkable. (See my post below on fan noise, if you're interested.) I can't speak to the T410. As for your questions, the fan noise is not bad at all, hardly noticeable really, on my T400s--even when rendering video or with other CPU-intense tasks. (...
