When I ran Windows, I could undervolt my x41 using a nifty program called Centrino Hardware Control. Instead of running my CPU at .988 volts, I was running it at .700, and getting anywhere from 30mins to an hour more life.
How exactly would I do this in Linux? Thanks.

I returned my T43 for an X41. If you have a nice desktop, I would suggest it. If you don't, then get the T4x. The X series is not meant to be your only computer, while the T series is. Think about how often you use a CD-ROM drive, because that is one of the most important differences. Actually, reco...

First, here is what I think an X33 would be (a prediction, and kinda a wishlist): Totally new chassis, with the legacy ports gone and room for an 8-cell battery a-la T43 and X41 with: Type II PCMCIA slot and Type II Expresscard slot Azalia sound system Firewire, 4-pin x300 64mb or GMA900 Bluetooth o...

USB 2.0 Combo drive vs. Powered USB 2.0 Combo drive
I'm looking at X41's, and I have the option to add a USB CD-ROM drive. Of all the options, there is a "ThinkPlus Powered USB 2.0 Port CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive [$195.30]" and a "ThinkPlus USB 2.0 CD-RW/DVD-ROM Drive [$139.30]." Obviously, I want to spend as little money as I can, but can anyone who has bo...

I was struggling between the two, and ended up getting a T43. I really wasn't that happy with it. I mean, it was a very nice machine (it could get 2200 3dmarks 2003), and I was getting killer battery life (five to six hours), but I just wasn't happy. I returned it, and I am waiting for lenovo to cre...
