FS: (Again) 4GB DDR2 Micron PC2-6400S SODIMM sticks (Canada)
Here for sale is a pair of 4GB ddr2 micron sticks of ram for a total of 8GB (2x4GB).
This is basically the same stuff that I sold here a year ago, except it has very late date codes, 15 and 16!
I found another deal locally, this time a local seller claimed he has a batch of machines that retired and I bought 6 of these sticks together (one turned out to be bad, SPD chip knocked off!), I thought I should share some here too.
I will use 3 this time, one in my T61 widescreen, one in my Latitude D630 and one in D830.
This is perfect for T601 frankenpad projects!
These are extremely hard to find on ebay these days for a genuine branded one!
Selling one pair for the same price as last time, C$70 + postage!
International buyers accepted but the postage might not be appealing.
Pictures will be uploaded soon.
DM if you have any questions!
Thanks!

This item is now ONCE AGAIN AVAILABLE!
Now, also in quantities more than ever!
Same Micron 4GB DDR2 stuff for sale, but at a new lower price per pair: C$55 + shipping!
DM for alternative price arrangements for big quantities.
Just about all of these are pulled out of retired iMac Mini's AFAIK, 100% genuine and will be tested working with Memtest86 before shipping!
They have some thermal pad remains stuck on them in terms of cosmetics, but everything is intact.
This is a fantastic deal for upgrading frankenpads!
Again, ships from Toronto, Canada. International buyers welcomed, but unsure about whether the worldwide postages are going to be viable outside of North america

Re: FS: (Again) 4GB DDR2 Micron PC2-6400S SODIMM sticks (Canada)
When testing 30 of these sticks (and found 3 bad), I experimented around with the defective sticks.
I initially suspected they might have defective SPD, so I took a laptop that I don't care if the mobo dies (Compaq CQ56), put a good stick in the inner RAM slot, power the laptop up, then put the laptop to sleep, and then insert one of the 3 bad sticks.
When I wake up the laptop, SPDTool detects both sticks. And long and behold, these sticks actually have unlocked SPD, despite previously thought that Micron sticks have locked SPD! Though reflashing SPD didn't fix the sticks, it's good to know that at least some Microns sticks are unlocked.
Moreover, it seems like it is possible to revive SPD bricked sticks by inserting it while the laptop is asleep (do NOT unplug sticks when the laptop is in sleep!!). Do it at your own risk of course and I have not tried that on a ThinkPad, which is well known to have lots and lots of fuses.
