I don't like the fact that a BIOS update may be included but Lenovo only provides a .exe. We've had some bricked laptops reported on the forum recently while running the BIOS update .exe on W7 ...

So you are looking for ISO's? I'm getting that feedback on my blog too... will collect a few more comments and will share with engineering.

I hear you on the bricked systems - definitely not good for any of us!

While it may not be the culprit in every case, we've found that some of the bricked units have to do with some components not being the proper state after resume from suspend, so we are advising folks to do a cold boot before flashing.
