The almighty Blue Enter key?

#1 Post by Thinkpad4by3 » Thu Aug 10, 2017 8:03 pm

Yeah, the blue enter is on every Thinkpad since the x30 and lost on the xx30. Where did it come from and where did it go?
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.

The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

I think it was a design element introduced as a nod to IBMs company color blue. After all, IBM is "Big Blue".

Lenovo isn´t "Big Blue" and my guess is that they wanted to make the design look more modern. So they changed it back to black with the Tx30 models.

Lenovo are determined to make Thinkpads look more bland in my eyes. YMMV

They can also save maybe some cents per keyboard doing this.
