Need help choosing

#1 Post by theoneskibidisigma » Sat May 03, 2025 7:10 am

Hi everyone!

So i've been using a p53 for about 10 months now and I have issues with it

First I hate the screen its awful, the resolution itself isn't the issue it's clear enough but after using a 13inch M1 MacBook pro the color accuracy is so bad in comparison

Second it's too cumbersome for my use, I'm in highschool so having to haul out my huge and heavy laptop around is more annoying than anything,

so I've been looking for other thinkpads like the T series that are smaller and lighter which resolves both my issues but i want to know whats the best thinkpad ( used ) in terms of screen and color accuracy while still being in the same form factor as the ones in the T/X series

thank you in advance ;p

Going used means you'll have more choices, but your budget will have a large effect on what you can get and you didn't say what you're looking to spend. The best displays tend to be the highest resolution LCDs, but those hit the battery harder, so there's no free rides. I'd say for something smaller the X1 Carbon would be a good place to start, though I'm no expert on the matter. Good luck my friend and welcome. If you could put your location in your profile so it's visible, it would be appreciated.

X1 carbon or X1 yoga are the best slim laptops. T-series aint what it used to be , if you don’t like the screen on P53, i dont think T-series will be satisfactory either.
