Does the color of the IBM Badge indicate the screen spec?
Ok, so I just noticed that monochrome IBM models seem to have an all BLUE badge while the color models have the RGB badge. Is this accurate?
Thinkpad4by3's Law of the Universe.
The efficiency of two screens equally sized with equal numbers if pixels are equal. The time spent by a 4:3 user complaining about 16:9 is proportional to the inefficiency working with a 16:9 display, therefore the amount of useful work extracted is equal.

Yes, models such as 340, 365 or 750 with a monochrome display will have a blue "IBM" badge on the lid and cover, while color machines such as 755C, 380ED or others will have the RGB "IBM" badge (please note that DSTN and TFT use the same badge)

Re: Does the color of the IBM Badge indicate the screen spec?
Actually about that, for some darned reason my 755C has a TFT display with TWO SLIDERS unlike regular TFT displays that have 1. Its really wierd. And I know its TFT for certain because the colors are sharp and very vibrant with nice refresh rates and no ghosting. Maybe IBM refurbished it but couldnt find the normal TFT inverter so they swapped the inverter?danikayser84 wrote:Yes, models such as 340, 365 or 750 with a monochrome display will have a blue "IBM" badge on the lid and cover, while color machines such as 755C, 380ED or others will have the RGB "IBM" badge (please note that DSTN and TFT use the same badge)
