T450/T460 vs L450/L460

I'm contemplating upgrading to a newer machine due to current pricing... I'm wanting to get a machine with dedicated graphics and quad core CPU but are the T and L series equipped the same? i'm looking to go with the GTX 940MX card since isn't that the newest card in 14" thinkpads? price is the biggest factor but if I can save money somewhere I'd love to... I'll throw in a better CPU in my T440p and test it's performance before upgrading but I think the GT 730M maybe what is holding me back...
