Battery hole filler cover
Battery hole filler cover
My mum never uses the T440s off the charger I'm wanting to know if there is piece of filler plastic you can buy that slots in the external battery slot that has no cells to fill the hole in it so the computer only has the internal battery to run off of when pulled away from the charger... Right now I've got the lowest capacity battery in the slot but I'd like to have nothing there.. anyone seen one or know of something like that?

Re: Battery hole filler cover
Never heard of or seen one, but why don't you carefully open it and remove the cells before gluing it back together?
If you cut it open from the side where the connector is, nobody will notice it, even if you goof a bit.

But I actually prefer Murphy's from Cork!

Re: Battery hole filler cover
I was just wanting to know because the lenovo platform specs lists none+3cell as an option... I'll try that suggestion if all else fails just weird this isn't more of a thing for bridge battery systemsRealBlackStuff wrote:Never heard of or seen one, but why don't you carefully open it and remove the cells before gluing it back together?

Re: Battery hole filler cover
No official external dummy battery has been ever released. This no-battery information refer to the configurations equipped with external batteries only. In this case, internal battery is replaced with dummy cover - FRU no. 00HM047.
P70 / W530 / W700 and 30 more
Re: Battery hole filler cover
You can also 3D print the dummy
Should not take much time and effort to do this!
Too many thinkpads not enough time!
