Anyone tried to get a hard drive from EZ Serve lately?

#1 Post by whizkid » Wed Oct 20, 2004 2:40 pm

I called EZ Serve on October 5 to replace a hard drive (for an X21) under warranty. They say that the hard drive for me isn't in stock, and they don't have an ETA on it. Very sorry.

The substitute part isn't in stock, and has no ETA. More sorry.

It appears they don't have a single hard drive in stock that they can send me and it's been over two weeks.

How unusual is this? Are there so many failing drives that they can't keep them in stock? This must be very expensive for them.

They've been "out" of pretty much everything smaller than 30GB for a while.

Call them back and escalate the problem, they should eventually give you a 4200RPM 40GB.
